Chilli's Hudlow, Nevada's Williams earn top honors from MINK
The emergence of the Chillicothe Mudcats and Nevada Griffons earned top honors for leadership of the two clubs.
Chillicothe's Tyler Hudlow was named 2025 Bob Steinkamp Manager of the Year, while Nevada's Kevin Williams landed Jeff Post General Manager of the Year recognition.
Hudlow guided the Mudcats to a 21-18 overall record and 19-15 league mark on the way to the No. 3 seed in the MINK League Playoffs.
Chillicothe picked up steam near the mid-June mark winning 14 of 17 games and solidifying itself as a contender as the postseason neared.
The 2025 season marked the fifth for Hudlow leading the Mudcats, and the second time in three years the team has posted a mark above .500. Chillicothe's 9-4 victory over Nevada on June 22, Hudlow passed Tai Mitchell (head coach from 2014-16) as the Mudcats' career leader in coaching wins.
Hudlow is a Harrisburg, Mo., native who played and coached at North Central Missouri College in Trenton before taking an assistant coaching position at Truman State.
Under the direction of Williams, Nevada advanced to the second round of the MINK League Playoffs, where they lost in 13 innings to eventual league champion St. Joseph.
"I love the game and would rather see a good college game than a professional game any day," Williams said.
Williams has been with the organization for roughly 27 years, and on the board of directors for 25 years. He started as a host parent and later joined the Board of Directors. He has held nearly every office on the board and has been GM for two years.
The namesake of the manager of the year award, Bob Steinkamp served as manager of the now-defunct Beatrice (NE) Bruins, also a member of the MINK, for 40 years. He was the only manager in team history, amassing more than 1,300 wins in his career. The general manager of the year award is named for Jeff Post. Post served as GM of the Nevada Griffons for a number of years, and also served as MINK League President for five years.
